What are you plaining
Screen Capture I would use CamStudio (the beta is your best bet)
Sapture you self i would use manycam Windows Movie maker and a web cam
Captureing your tv Trust me on this get somthing not from pinnacle it will help in the editing stage
Editing Windows Movie Maker IMovie HD ( I think the with all the video effect's) or Pinnacle studio are great starters Some Free Program Virtual Dub and Jahsaka

We need someone to make a guide on this so sulsull if you get the time that would be great sorry I can't do these things but I am kinda busy making stuff for thw website even though it may not seem like it I do.
