Taco Bell ~ Tasty Temple Challenge

This is my first walkthrough. It is also the only walkthrough for this game. There may still be some mistakes, if anyone notcies any mistakes, PM me.

------------About The Game------------
This game was made by Taco Bell in 1995; it was given away with the purchase of a Taco Bell kids meal. It works with DOS and any Windows OS. Note:I am not sure if it is available for any other OS, if you know any that is not posted here, please let me know.

------------Game Description------------
You play Baja Bill. You go through the temple of a lost jungle civilization, battling snakes and scorpion with hot and wild sauce. You eat Taco Bell food for health.

------------ Controls------------
Keyboard:
Move = Arrow Key
Attack = Ctrl Key
Help = F1
Quick Save = F2
Quick Load = F10
Quit = F10
Jump/Rise (Swimming) = Home Key
Crouch/Sink (Swimming) = End
Select Hot Sauce = 1
Select Wild Sauce = 2

Mouse:
Move = Move Mouse

Chalupa (Taco):
Gives You Health (10)

Nacho Power Ups
Gives You Health (7)

Cinnamon Twist:
Gives You Health (3)

Hot Sauce/Wild Sauce:
Used To Defeat Enemies Buy Spraying Them With It. To choose between the hot sauce and the wild suace, just press 1 or 2 on the keyboard. 1 = Hot Sauce 2 = Wild sauce.

Keys:
Enables You To Go Through Doors

Sword:
Enables You To Get Through Vines. (Only Have To Use It Once)

Crowbar:
Enables You To Get Through Gates

------------Enemies------------
Scorpion(s): Just fire either the Wild Sauce or the Hot Sauce at them. After 3-4 Hits, there beat.
Snakes(s): To defeat, use the same method as the scorpions.
Boss: I will explain how to defeat the boss near the end of the walkthrough.

------------Walkthrough------------
Go straight, before coming to the ramp, go left and collect the Cinnamon Twist and the Hot Sauce. Go to the other side of the ramp and collect the Chalupa. As soon as you collect the Chalupa, the scorpion behind it, will come after you. Spray him with the Hot Sauce. When enemies come towards you, if they get to close, back away and spray them at the same time. go up the ramp and through the door.

A scorpion with come at you from the center. You'll probably see a snake in the background but he won't attack untill you get close. Go left, You'll see a Wild Sauce package, but there's a snake a few feet behind it and will attack as soon as you get close to the Wild Sauce. Collect the Wild Sauce and fry the snake. Keep going straight and there's another snake up a head. Fry him too. There's a door on the right (you probably may have passed it) it contains a Wild Sauce package. Leave this room and head right. At the end of the hallway, turn left. As your turning left, beware of a snake that is waiting for you; so be ready for attack. Continue down this hallway. Halfway through this corridor, you'll should see a scorpion. Greet him with the Hot Sauce. Halfway though this hallway is also a door on the left. Enter it.

When you enter, grab the Chalupa; there will be a scorpion coming at you from the center. Go through the first entrance on the left. As you enter, go to the far right side of the room because around the corner is another scorpion. Now go up the stairs and turn around corridor and there will be stairs going down, leading to a switch. There's a scorpion on the stairs. Crouch down (hold End key to stay crouched) and fire Hot Sauce. Now, continue forward and hit the switch. The switch will now be up. Go back to the room you just were and go through entrance across the way. Beware of a snake just around the corner. Take care of the snake and collect your Chalupa! Go back out the the main room again and go through the entrance on the right. You'll see that it's blocked by bars but now that you have turned the switch, it will now open. Before you go through the gate, fry the snake. The Hot Sauce will go through the gate. Collect the Wild Sauce. Now turn left, go around the corner to collect a gold key! Go back to the main room again and go towards the entrance, straight a head. Another gate, you can't get through this one, but fry the scorpian behind it. Now turn left and go through the door (It's the one you used to enter this room). After you go through the door, continue going left. You'll see a Chalupa. Collect it and start to turn left, fry the scorpian and turn around. You'll see another Chalupa and a snake. Fry the snake and collect your Chalupa! Turn right to see two snakes headed you way. Note: They may not always be there.

Go up the stairs and turn left, there'll probably be a scorpion there, fry him. See the square wall at the center of the room? Good. Jump over this wall (use Home key to jump) may take a couple tries.The green part is water, move to the other side and turn around. Sink about halfway between the surface and the ground (Use End key to sink). Somewhere in there, around the center of the pond, you should see the Crow Bar, grab it. Rise to the surface (Home key) Keep gong straight and jump over the wall (may take a couple tries). Now, once your over the wall, go straight and go into te room in front of you. Fry the scorpion and collect your Hot Sauce. Turn left, there's a entrance but you gotta jump up the get to it. Now that you have the crowbar, you can go through the gate. As you turn right, a snake will come at you, fry him. Before you get to opening, you'll be greeted by another snake. Well, greet him wit you Hot Sauce. Go straight and jump over the fire when it's not visible. Keep going till you get the a room at the end. In this room, there is a thing for shoot hot sauce, 2 Hot Sauce packages, and 2 Wild Sauce packages and a Chalupa! Now continue back out where you where. Go right then turn left, you should see an entrance but you have to jump up the enter it. Go right You will get to a room with a Chalupa and some Wild Sauce.

Now that your out of the tunnel, for now anyway. Turn right and enter the door on the left. There's a snake right behind it so be ready. Keep going and fry the snake when you come to him. Ignore the doors and keep going straight and as you make your right turn, you'll see another snake, be ready to fire your Hot Sauce. There's another snake not to far away. After you fry him, collect your Chalupa. Turn right and go through the door. Beware, there are two scorpions behind this door! Go left and go through the door at the end to collect another Chalupa! Go back the way you came. Keep going until you see an entrance on the right. Kill the snake(s) (there maybe more then one) and go through the entrance on the right. Fry the scorpion (if you only fried one snake, turn around because there might be another one coming towards you!). Collect the Wild Sauce beside the other entrance. Go back through the entrance (down the stairs) and towards the right/center. Fry the snake behind you if you didn't get him before. You'll see an entrance covered with vines but you can't get though yet. Turn around and go right and take another right to head down the ramp. Fry the snake. Go through the door at the end and keep going straight. Enter the door on the right. Collect the thing on the right (still don't know what it's called). Turn right and collect the two Wild Sauce packages. Turn around and go back out the way you came. Once in the corridor again, continue right. Keep going straight, you'll pass the two doors you entered at the started of the game. After you passed the doors, continue straight untill you see a snake, fry him (if you havn't aleady done so). Turn left and go down the little set of stairs and go through the two doors. Somewhere near the entrance of this room is a scorpion. Go to the other side of the room, you'll see what looks like bones and snake is near by, to the right (but you may now see him!). Go right, from the bones and go left through the tunnel. Collect the Bronze Key at the end of the tunnel. Go back out the way you came, it's really the only entrance anyway. Once your by the doors you came through at the beginning, go straight (facing away from the doors). Go straight, fry the snake. Near the end of this corridor, is a scorpion, towards the right. At the end of this corridor, is a Chalupa towards the right. Now go right, through this long dark corridor. Halfway through is a Hot Sauce package. At the first entrance on the right, go down this corridor (you've been down here before, except you went the opposite way). At the end of this corridor, are two doors, behind them is the ramp you came down from. Go back up the ramp and go through the first entrance on the left, then the entrance on the right, up the stairs on the left and through the door.

Now that you have the [/b]Bronze Key[/b], you can go through this door! Go left and take the elevator down. Beware, there are two snakes waiting for you at the bottom! At the bottom of the elevator, turn right and go through the door. Beware, there's a snake right behind the door. After you fry him, collect the Machete. Leave this room and take the elevator back up. Go through the door down the stairs, take a right and down some more stairs. Go center/right and you should see an entrance covered by vines. Now that you have the Machete, you can now get through! Jump down, turn left and collect your chalupa! In this room, there are two switches. Make sure the one ahead of you is down and the other is up. You should see a door, leave this room. Go straight down the corridor in font of you until you come to two doors on the left. Go through them.

Now your in the room where you started the game. You'll see a door straight a head but you can't get through this door and you'll see two walls that are only a couple feet in height. Facing away from the door you came in, jump over the wall on the right. Sink down through the water, you should see a tunnel halfway from the surface. Enter. Keep going until you come to the end, rise to the surface. Jump up onto the ground and go through the door at the end. Fry the two scorpions in his room and collect your Wild Sauce. Go back out to the room where you started the game from. Jump over the wal on the opposite side. Sink down and go through the gate. Continue down the long tunnel and rise to the surface at the end. Get up on the surface on the left and collect the Silver Key. Turn around in the opposite direction and go around the water. Go through the door at the other side. Beware, there is a snake right behind the door, fry him. you'll see entrances; I recommend you take the on one the right. Near the end of this long corridor is a snake that will come at you from the right. Fry the snake and collect your chalupa (towards the right). Go thought the door. In front of you, you'll see a big green wall, jump up onto it. Continue and when you turn left, you'll see a scorpion at the other end of the corridor, fry him. Turn right and you enter the a big room, ignore the snake in front of you for now. Turn right and fry the snake and turn around again and head straight. At the end of this corridor, turn left and head down this ramp to collect your chalupa. Look out, because you might see a scorpion! Continue heading down the corridor (where you fried your last snake). As you getting to the turn, you'll probably notice a snake towards the left so you can fry him as you turn Turn left. When you make your right turn, fry to scorpion coming at you. If you take the first left, you'll get a chalupa! Go left and continue down the corridor. There's a snake around the left corner, fry him. In this corridor, after you fried the snake, there will probably be a scorpion (or snake) come at you from the left. The second wall on the left is actually a fake, you can go through this wall. Fry the snake and collect the two Nacho power-ups. At the end of the small corridor is a ramp on the right, halfway down it is a Key. Go back out to the corridor and continue left. Collect two Wild Sauces. Go Turn left and down the ramp. Fry the snake. Turn right down and halfway down the corridor, a snake will come at you from the right. There a 3 cinnamon twists where the snake was. Now your at the bottom of the ramp that you saw when you first entered the big room. Go right, (from where you came, of course) and collect the Hot Sauce package. Continue up the ramp and through the door. Continue down the stairs, collect the Nacho power-up. Continue until you come to the door at the end, go through the door (well duh).

Continue up the ramp in your in the Boss's room. This where you found the Grande Meal. Here's what I did to defeat the Boss, throw Wild Sauce at him to keep him away. You see the two jail cells? The Grande Meal is in one of them, and you have to lock the Boss on the other one. Hit the switch on the left side of the room to rise the cell. Try and get him in the cell. I jumped up o the box and once he went in there, I jumped and and hit the switch, locking him in there. Once you do that, you win the game.
