Setting Up Wii Homebrew
Ok First off I have to make a few notes first i'm trying my hardest to get screen shots for this so at the bottom i will make a change log. 2nd Me nor any homebrew developer is in fault for using an application and it bricking your wii. Now to the Guide
Ok first off people have been asking me what homebrew is so time to quote wikipedia beacuse they have an awesome article on it (well wiibrew contributes to wikipedia)
"Homebrew is a term frequently applied to video games produced by consumers to target proprietary hardware platforms not typically user-programmable or that use proprietary storage methods. This might include games developed with official development kits, such as Net Yaroze or Linux for PlayStation 2. Some more frequently used labels, such as freeware, are often applied as well. A popular type of homebrew game is the fangame. In Japan, these games are usually called "Dōjin soft", the legality of which depends on what the software does."
Couldn't of said it any better
Now if you want to see the article click here
Ok another note that you click on the images to make them bigger

Q&A
Q. What is the possiblities or stuff that has happend in homebrew
A. Ok We have got alot accomplished like linux, backup loader for wii games, emulators (nes, snes, gba, sega genesis), and a dvd player and a homebrew downloader (this is the only app when you open the homebrew channel)
Q. How did you get into homebrew
A. I saw a tutorial on how to set up the original twilight hack (you needed a usb
gecko for it)and waited for the second release which added sd support
Q. What's a Usb Gecko
A. ok back in the gamecube homebrew era there was two ways to get homebrew
onto your gamecube a usb gecko which connected to you computer and came
with some software that you loaded applications with. Or a Sd Gecko which is
basicly makes it so you could put sd cards in your gamecube memory card slots
Q.What is illegal in doing this
A.Ok this where the fun ends first with your warranty. This technically breaks you warrenty (well they took back flashed ds) So use with caution. 2nd if you don't own the game it is technically illegal to use the homebrew to emulate it (like an nes emulator the backup loader)(well except for direct ports with no emulator to open because those usally the developer is not there anymore).
Q. What's this hbb and hbc crap that i hear about
A.There both acronyms Hbb stands for Homebrew Browser and Hbc Stands for Homebrew Channel
Q. where can i learn more
A. Here is probably the most popular website for homebrew
this site tells you alternatives to updating you wii and has news events and new
homebrew apps
Q. Why Do you have to make a new part of the guide for macs, linux, and for older versions of windows
A.In the second part of the walkthrough i'll be showing you how to do what this installer does for you automaticly. So that means that i just have to make the parts on the computer again. So the part on the wii will be exactly the same and there will be no differnce on the wii except the installer gives you (Hbb

Depens If you use it for an emulator that's ilegal but if you just want expand your wii to play dvds it not but nintendo will probably either not repair it or get rid of all the stuff on it
Note i delted all the flame posts because won't to keep this kinda on topic

Re: Setting Up Wii Homebrew
What all can you do with Homebrew and why is it illegal? You may want to enclude an FAQ on this.

Re: Setting Up Wii Homebrew
Okay you know what whatever you get 150 credits if you add the thing on what it is at the top you can add another 75 credits.
Re: Setting Up Wii Homebrew
I don't want to risk reaking the warrenty on my Wii and it sounds like a lot. I'll just buy the game, sorry.

Well i've been working on screeshot's but i've just been waiting till today because of the coding compition
Wait in your guide you can 250 so if i add pictures to another 15 (max) credit points is that worth the effort also making the mac section would be worth 10 (max). umm ok thats the two harder more time consuming needed of this guide so i'll gladly skip out on them
